Though my story is not unique, it is mine. Growing up, I had a passion for writing, but I was a big fish in a small pond. I earned a BFA in creative writing and entered publishing as a “day job” that slowly became my life. When the pandemic hit, I’d been in educational publishing during its transition from flat, print books into interactive eBooks and digital-first content. During the aftermath, I questioned my priorities, as many, many other people did. I got into ghostwriting for romance, and while I enjoyed writing stories and seeing the positive feedback, the content-farm core was unsustainable. However, after seeing the enthusiastic response to my writing, I decided to put out my own work. So, for the past two years, I have been working on a series, and now that it’s closer to release than not, I’m debuting this blog—as well as myself.

SereProphet of Prophet Machinations is a self-taught digital and traditional artist whose work often features both graphic design and illustration with expertise in visual interpretation and concept creation.
